In this example have like a roadmap on a grid showing where the player can go but having branched decisions. When landing on certain spots the player may be challenged to trivia, hangman, typing test, etc (come up with more ideas in the future).
- During these events have a timed amount before the player loses which may help in discouraging the player from googling answers.
- Could incorporate turn based fighting like another example below.
- Choices placed onto the player such as losing life, time on next trial, score, to gain the ability to possibly skip next challenge or gain a higher score.
- Snake with additions.
- Add obstacles instead of having to fill the snake in every box.
- Increase score every try based off of how many boxes are filled.
- Suddently remove border boxes based off of boxes acquired (added to the snake).
- Could add levels such as scoring 100 points starts next round.
- With each new round change the shape of the board and possible start that round with obstacles.
- Turn Based fighting.
- Double or nothing situation where the player has the decision where they are certain they are winning with this next attack, may gain more score, better loot, health, mana, etc.
- Rock paper scissors like fight where some moves are more effective, could be based off enemy or blocking an attack.
- This could either have a final boss that completes the game but allows the player to keep adding to the score on additive runs, or could multiply difficulty with time.
- Could add a possible limit to loot, such as can only carry one type of attack boost so player has to decide whether to keep or change to new find.
